Here is a video of a motorbike ride from Norton to Stamford Bridge via Buttercrambe, one of my fav routes, quite a fast road, but remote and not much used, thus one of my favs – I use it as a short cut to avoid some boring routes near York, at the end of the trip we went to the Three Cups pub for a meal, perfect! The Three Cups is an olde worldie pub, it has an old well inside, its probably a converted cowshed, but hey!
Stamford Bridge itself has a lot of history, King Harold fought some vikings there just before the battle of Hastings (which didn’t go so well) There was said to be a viking giant on the bridge at Stamford no one could beat, so Harold’s men got under the bridge and poked him with spears till they won the fight!
I did my own music? for the video, which is only 15mins long – quite a buzz tho, as the road is mostly downhill and fast 😀
