Xmas greetings-ish!

Greetings of the season to all, I have to say, I do have mixed feelings about it – I get cheesed off with normality enough as it is without it coming round again every year, same old stupid songs o the radio, I don’t really dig carols, I don’t like traditions much, oh who am I kidding? I love it really, all of it, just not that much! LOL What the hell, its not too bad ๐Ÿ™‚

I had this song in my head by Erasure, nothing to do with xmas (thankfully) So if you want a break from all that shite! . . . .

Well that was great eh? I really dig that 80’s synth sound, and the singer is great, and good lyrics! Sure beats the hell out of Santa came down the chimney pot or whatever – so here’s a couple more that shizzle my snizzle

I’ll bet these sound great on a good hifi! I must have heard them that way before, but I took it all for granted, they dont do beats like this anymore, not proper music anyhow, ha,ha, I sound old ๐Ÿ˜€

I like some carols but the radio stations are oversaturated with that stuff so it’s easy to get sick of ’em. I prefer some instrumental like Mannheim Steamroller. These videos make me smile (last one I cannot see, it says video unavailable). But that blue hand! ๐Ÿ˜€ Here comes the airplane! There’s nothing better than 80s music vids and great synth.

I don’t mind “I saw 3 ships come sailing in” cos I can singalong with the chorus “On Christmas day in the morning!” LOL Nah, not for me, not rock ‘n’ roll enough!

I never heard Mannheim Steamroller, but the first track on the album was fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

Pity the other sing didn’t play, Erasure are Ace! I should just go gay really, cos I like all the stuff they do, like ABBA, BeeGees, and Erasure, I dont have any of their stuff, which is strange, cos I love t! ๐Ÿ˜€ Look up Erasure “Respect” if you get time, its probably their best song, if not their most accessible – I think theres a greatest hits album, thats probably really good – there was so much rubbish synth pop in the 80’s, then along came Erasure and all was forgiven, cos they just had the chunes! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

I saw 3 ships is a catchy one! And I did look up Erasure’s “Respect,” thank you for that! You’ve always got a treasure trove of great songs to share. โค

Arf arf, its not really Christmas Carols so much that bore me as xmas pop songs, they get over played every year on the radio and in shops, everywhere you go, and I only like about 2 of them! Used to like it more when I was younger, just that this has now been going on for like 30+ yrs!! LOL

I thought you’d probably like Erasure, his keyboard man was a hit maker for Alison Moyet a few years earlier, he just seems to have the knack with the synths!

Like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas” and such, oh yes. And Santa Baby, probably done by most pop stars.

I wish I had that knack!

Its endless here – so many xmas songs! I think the UK is more responsible for these atrocities than anyone else, then they play them on the radio all day for the last few weeks before the big day, and constant rotation in shops – mostly they are dreadful! Sometimes I turn it off when its a really annoying one, there’s only so many times you want to hear Merry xmas everyone by Slade! ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

Thatโ€™s just like here with them blasted on the radio and everywhere you shop. I havenโ€™t heard that one by Slade, haha! Since itโ€™s new to me and itโ€™s rockinโ€™ itโ€™s not so bad.

Haha, yeah its pretty funny – there’s another one called “I wish it could be Christmas everyday” by Wizzard, thats pretty rocking’ too, I don’t mind em, its sort of wearisome after yrs and yrs of repetition, but then the day after xmas, or a week or so, you start to look forward to doing it again next yr! LOL
